Rules that apply to every exam

AP credit is college credit earned before matriculation; first-year students must take the AP exam before matriculating to be eligible.
Submit all official AP scores via the College Board using BU's College Entrance Examination Board code 3087 before the first day of the first semester.
Credit is accepted at the discretion of each School or College; course equivalents are in the College of Arts and Sciences unless noted.
Students will not receive duplicate credit for AP exams equated to the same Boston University course.
Transfer credit is not granted for physical education, health, dance, ROTC courses, or non-academic activities.
A maximum of 68 transferred credits may be applied toward a degree.
Students accepted into the Accelerated Medical Program cannot receive advanced credit.
Boston University reserves the right to change its advanced placement credit policy without advance notice.
