What each AP score earns at Bates College: 41 exams, credit shown in credits. Always confirm with the school before you plan your schedule.

Rules that apply to every exam

A maximum of 4.0 non-Bates credits, including Advanced Placement credit, may be awarded.
Approved program credit earned through the Center for Global Education does not count towards this limit.
The College Board must send official scores to Bates; Bates College College Board Code is 3076.
Unspecified credit counts toward the 32.0 credits needed for graduation but not major, minor, or general education requirements unless noted in the Catalog.
AP credit counts toward general education only if accepted as a direct equivalent to a specific Bates course. The writing requirement may not be satisfied with AP credit.
Credit may not be earned for both the AP Calculus AB and BC tests.
